How to order your bespoke glass shoe display.

Bespoke glass shoe displays are perfect for any shoe enthusiast, store, or collector. Imagine creating your own personal shoe collection display to show off your shoe collection, preserve and display them in immaculate condition, stopping any dust, liquids, or accidents from occurring. Retail customers will be stunned by your clear toughened glass shoe display boxes. These boxes are so versatile, purchase without any glass base and secure in place on any surface in your store, home, or office. We also offer a mirrored glass base, which is not fixed to the display, for you to upgrade the display further! These displays can be used for many things, including collectable items like trains, Lego sets, bags, etc.

More Details

The width will be the longest part of your glass shoe display. First, you will have to make the decision of how many shoes you would like displayed. For example, will it just be one pair, a couple, or 5 pairs of shoes? This will help you to decide your overall width.

Depth refers to how deep you would like the display to be. For example, if it were only to hold one row of shoes, you would only need to fit that length of the shoe inside the case; however, you need to consider whether you are going to have a mixture of sizes in your display. If so, you would need to think of the longest shoe, and that will help you to work out your overall depth.

Height refers to the overall height of the display; for example, if you were to display knee-high boots, you would need quite a tall display compared to trainers or sandals, etc. So, depending on what type of shoe you want to display, it will allow you to work out the height of your display.

Of course, you will have to think of the thickness of the glass you will be having for your display. For example, if you were to have a 6mm thick display and the height is 300mm, and you need 296mm for your shoe to fit, it wouldn’t fit how you would expect. The glass thickness is included in the overall height, meaning the usable space will be 294m,m when you could fit the shoes you wanted to display comfortably in 296mm and have 4mm of space. So, we would suggest a height of 206mm to allow you some wiggle room, but also not too much negative space. This is the same for the width and depth; however, it would be double as there will be glass on either side. To simplify this, you must take away the thickness of the glass once for the height and twice for the width and depth to work out the actual usable space.

All our measurements are taken in millimetres, so be sure you convert your measurements correctly, whether they are in metres, inches, or centimetres. It is important it is correct to the exact millimetres as glass is very precise and will be made to the exact mm.

Polished edges leave your glass edging looking complete. We would always recommend having your glass with a polished edge, even if it did not need bonding, as it gives the glass a lovely, smooth finish, and it removes any sharpness the glass edge would have if left unpolished. The edges must be polished for us to UV bond the glass together smoothly.

We offer 3 different options for the foot/base of your bespoke glass shoe display.

The first choice is a customer to silicone fix, which has no charge, of course. This means you will be fixing your glass display in place yourself. Using silicone or any other adhesive you are using.

The second choice is a discrete rubber strip foot, which will be fixed to the base of your glass display, which will cause friction between the display and your existing surface. This friction, combined with the weight of your glass display, will stop the unit from being accidentally knocked or jogged, but will also allow you to reposition the display if needed.

The third choice is an aluminium channel, which will be given to you separately from the counter and will have holes drilled through the channel, ready for it to be drilled into place. Of course, if you have this option, you need to be sure you are happy with where the display will be going and that it will become a permanent fixture. As well as being sure you are happy to drill into the existing material, you have to consider where your glass display will be located.

We offer two types of glass: one is standard clear toughened glass, and the other is low-iron toughened glass. Both are clear, and I will explain the differences; however, we have a detailed page on our website explaining the differences. The clear toughened glass has a green tint, which is clearly visible in the glass; however, low iron has a minimised green tint, which you can barely see, making it a significantly clearer piece of glass. Wonderful for colourful products like shoes, jewellery, etc.

Glass is the perfect material for displaying your items. Its sleek transparency assures that the focus is always on your shoes, whether you’re selling them in a large store or storing them for your own personal use. Toughened glass can hold large amounts of weight with no issue, and with its clean lines and contemporary feel, it is sure to compliment any interior design scheme.
